IOT & M2M CONNECTIVITY

Keep an eye on things further afield.

From a connected workshop to remote monitoring equipment, we help you plan the connection behind the information you rely on.

Small amounts of data can do an important job.

IoT and M2M describe equipment exchanging data: a sensor reporting a reading, a controller sending an update or a remote system checking in. The right connection depends on the device, its location and how it communicates.

Tell us what the equipment does, how often it sends data and whether it needs to be reached remotely. We’ll discuss suitable SIMs, routers and management rather than assume that any mobile plan will do.

Agriculture and rural sites

Explore connectivity for compatible monitoring and control equipment across your working site.

Equipment at a remote location

Plan for power, signal and access before putting a router or connected device into service.

Visibility between visits

Discuss how compatible equipment can be monitored and managed without every task requiring a site visit.

A connection planned for the place it lives.

A workshop, a roadside cabinet and an indoor office need different installation choices. The Teltonika OTD500 is an outdoor 5G router with RMS compatibility; the Altos CAP700 is an indoor 5G WiFi 7 option with RMS management.

We’ll select equipment around the environment and the devices it needs to serve. The sensors, cameras or controllers themselves must also be compatible with the proposed connection.

Teltonika RMS: useful visibility from a distance.

On compatible Teltonika equipment, Remote Management System can support monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting. That can help when equipment is spread across sites or awkward to reach.

We’ll agree which management functions you need, who will have access, and any licensing and support charges. Remote management needs a working connection; it is one part of a properly planned installation.

A little advice. A clear next step.

Bring us the device details. Make and model, number of devices, site postcode and power arrangements.

Describe the data. Typical usage, reporting frequency and any remote-access, IP addressing or private-network requirements.

We’ll prepare a proposal. Suitable connectivity, equipment and management, with the scope and costs clearly set out.

A few questions you might have

Can you connect cameras or monitoring systems?

We can discuss the connectivity for compatible systems. Video can use much more data than simple sensors, so tell us whether it streams continuously or only sends clips.

Do I need a fixed IP address?

Some applications need particular addressing or remote-access arrangements; others do not. Share the equipment supplier’s requirements so we can discuss a suitable service.

Can the router be managed remotely?

With suitable equipment and a configured management service, many checks and settings can be handled remotely. We’ll confirm the exact functions and support included in your quote.

Let’s find what works for you.

Share your postcode and a little about your setup. We’ll talk through suitable options and prepare a tailored quote.
